StarCrossed - Elizabeth C. Bunce

This is the story of Digger,a thief with a good heart and a really big secret. When she finds herself wrapped up in the problems of a family who have done her a good turn she's forced to pick sides in an increasingly dangerous war.
The biggest weakness of this story is also it's biggest strength. The world is complex And fascinating, offering way more depth then I'm used to inYA novels. It made the beginning very slow and I almost didn't finish the book. Once I got my bearings I fell in love with the characters and the society. Bunch sAys that she drew on Renaissance Europe and I can definitely see that.
