I'm really on the fence about this one. There were a lot of things I liked about it. The story is really interesting. In the midst of all the paranormal romances it's nice to have a mystery. The tension starts off right away. There's a lot of interesting back story. I was really fascinated to see how it all worked out for Trinity. I like how Trinity was really vulnerable in ways that weren't always appealing.
That said, it lost me about half way through. The love interest was just....odd. Not quirky, just disconcerting. I always felt like he was halfway into becoming a stalker/serial killer. The story really lags in places where momentum is favored over character development. There was a lot of shades of gray in the story that were glossed over that would have made the story a lot more interesting to me.
So yeah. Another middle of the road book. I'm interested to see where it goes, and I hope that in the next one some of the issues are addressed.
