The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms - N.K. Jemisin Hundred Thousand Kingdoms has a very complicated plot that I'm not going to even try to explain. There were a lot of great things about it but I was never able to really get into it. I loved how she worked in a mythology and world that was so different then anything else I've seen. I loved the culture the Yeine comes from especially. The gods and what they mean to people were so rich. After getting used to redo's of all the major mythology in urban fantasy trying something completely different was a real treat. I had a hard time with Yeine (who's name I'm probably spelling wrong) and her relationships. In some ways it still feels....shallow? maybe that's the right word but it's also not....to me.
