Tarnished - Karina Cooper There was so much potential in the steamppunk London of Tarnished, but the story was too busy to take advantage of it. I'm sure a debutante/bounty hunter/opium addict can exist but there was not enough space in the narrative to help me understand it or sympathize with the myriad motivations it brings Cherry. And just asking: Why do their have to be paragraphs on paragraphs about her dresses?
