A Shadow in Summer - Daniel Abraham I really, really didn't like this book. Everyone in the fantasy community had rave reviews so I had really high hopes. It has the most incomprehensible cover blurb of all time, which makes sense now because I have absolutely no idea how to describe it myself. There were a lot of characters and everyone was a different degree of awful. People did bad things for bad reasons and bad things for good reasons and occasionally did good thing that never, ever worked out. In the end everyone just failed and knew that something worse was coming because of it. I almost never don't finish a series once I've started but there's no way I can handle more of this.
