As Dead As It Gets - Katie Alender Alender's voice is as strong as ever in As Dead As It Gets. Maybe it's just me, but very rarely do ghost stories get better with sequels. Considering I've probably read more ghost stories in the last week then I've read in the last year I'm not really qualified to make that judgement. Alender still writes better spookiness then anyone else. Her ghosts creeped me out to the point that I had to skim at some points or risk wide eyed under the bed time. Despite all of that the story was weak, and the resolution just annoying. Hopefully next book she gets a better plot.
