Queen of Wands - John Ringo The six year sequel (yes, that's how long it was and yes, I counted) to Princess of Wands was fabulous. Not quite as good, since Queen of Wands depended a lot on world-building, which is not the authors strong point. Just because it wasn't as awesome as Princess doesn't mean it wasn't a great read. I still love Barb, the housewife who turns into the paladin. I've read a lot more urban fantasy in the last six years and I still love this series.
