Wake (Watersong, #1) - Amanda Hocking Wake did not work for me at all. The first third of the book is about the main character's screwed up home lives. Of the two main characters Gemma is bland but okay and Harper is so annoying I could barely read her parts. In fact, it's her going off on her little sister Gemma for the seventeenth time in the book so far that made me stop reading.
From looking at other reviews I saw that the people who like Wake love Harper's viewpoint. Since I didn't that's probably why I couldn't find anything to enjoy in the book. So if you think you want to read it get a sample and read Harper's parts. If you like her, your golden, if not, find a different book.
