Pride - Rachel Vincent There are things in first books that bug me fairly often but it's pretty rare for them to get to the point by the third book that it makes me want to tear my hair out. Faythe's snarky voice and go her own way attitude worked in the first book but it's now ridiculous, especially considering that she spends all her time talking internally about how she's wrong. Paired with a plot that is nothing but internal politicking going nowhere I'd rather get an ingrown toenail then finish this book. I'm going to pick up the next one in the hopes that this was a middle of the series slump but if it isn't a whole heck of a lot better then Pride I'm done.
