The Spirit War - Rachel Aaron It's really more 4.5 stars then five, but considering some of the stuff I've five starred in the past it's not that much of a stretch. Spirit War makes a pretty radical shift in the tone of the books, completing the evolution for heist capers in fantasy land to a more epic story line. They're still fun even though they have a lot more meat. There is one complain on my side. There is no real love between characters, not even parent to child or between friends. It feels strange to read about a world without it.
