Touch of Power - Maria V. Snyder I just finished Touch of Power and I'm left with some pretty conflicted feelings. What Snyder does she does well. There are elements of this book that are so good they are like a literal breath of fresh air. Then there are places where she just.... doesn't. It's not necessarily bad so much as lazy. There world building and character development can get really sketchy. Somehow the book remains incredibly lovable and satisfying despite that. I was going to go with three stars but then decided compared to some of the stuff I've three starred in the past month Touch is an improvement.
